Amritsar in the arms of winters

A cold winter day on 29th of Dec, Saturday ,we had a holy visit to Golden temple, Amritsar, Punjab.

The exquisiteness of Golden temple has stuck in my mind and thus inspired to write.

I wonder I express the ecstatic pic in thought as a rhyme.

A slight fog in the evening made me felt as I was walking on clouds.
I could listen to the peaceful holy tunes that sounded as melodious wows.
The Gold layer & bright lights around Temple walls, Top tomb is simply stunning.
Sited at the center of holy lake seems always shining with the water drops twinkling.

To make sure everyone enjoys the blissful aura of temple, complete discipline is maintained .
We entered the main temple where Holy Guru granth sahib is worshiped & chanted.
The interior of temple is even more eye-catching.Entire ceiling, corrals, pillars are embedded in a pure gold, amazingly crafted & curved.
Words alone won’t suffice my description.

Next day, we visited Jallianwala Bagh .The place is known for the nationalistic history it holds & it truly urges a tribute to the martyrs.
Durgyana temple & Mata lal devi Mandir are another famous tourist spot. You would not want to miss their divinity as well.

Not to forget, Amritsari cuisine is another unmatched & delicious target to be hit here.
Check for food options & couple of famous dhabas info at http://www.hindu.com/mag/2005/03/20/stories/2005032000600700.htm

Later these visits, we than headed towards Wagah border between India & Pakistan.
Lahore, one of the big cities of Pakistan is only 23 kms away from this border.

Continual sounds of Hindustan zindabad & Jai hind with a DJ in background in a mass simply lets you sway with patriotism. Hats off to the attentive Soldiers here, serving just to make sure country men are safe enough. The march past is simply a worth to reckon.

Trip to Amritsar is simply an awesome excursion blended in Punjabi aroma ...:)
